Aged Care & Retirement Living
The 21 century Aged care and retirement living shall be designed to emphasise a ‘homelike’ and holiday lifestyle living environment. The design should engender a sense of relaxing, belonging, familiarity, safety, comfort and care. The interior design is aimed at promoting a high quality of care and accommodation for aged care residents.
The interior design, space, lighting materials, finishes, fixtures, fittings, furniture and artworks are to create an inviting atmosphere for aged residents, staff and visitors.

Retail & Hospitality
At FYI Design, we believe that retail design is designing for impact, designing for environment and designing for everyone. The interior design shall consider the business, and is aim to make successful retail environments which reflect a unique and individual brand identity for business to grow.
The hotel interior design would be aim to create a luxurious, relaxing, and welcoming space for guests and staff. The design solution would be innovative, comfortable, and also reflect local culture.

When it comes to Education, FYI design has it's own unique style - 'funky on neutral'. The design is to provide a functional and fun learning and teaching environment for students and teachers for the 21 century.

Director Felicity Yang spent one year doing research of crime prevention through house design in 2006. It was hoped that the research will extend understanding of the potential for situational prevention of crime through design of the domestic environment,
